The Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (URISA), in partnership with the American Public Health Association (APHA), is pleased to announce the 2016 GIS and Health Symposium. The theme for this year’s Symposium is “Mapping the Way to Healthy Communities”. Attend to discuss and share information about the important topics impacting the health of our communities worldwide and how GIS is being used as to facilitate decisions and action.

Full Registration includes the Symposium Proceedings, one hosted luncheon, and networking reception. Attendance at a pre-symposium workshop will require an additional fee. The registration fee for a single day registration includes the Symposium Proceedings, attendance at the educational sessions and networking events for that day only.

Venue: The Symposium will take place at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza, 1001 14th St NW (14th & K), Washington DC 20005. Take the Orange or Blue Line to the McPherson Square Station; exit the station using the 14th Street/Franklin Square Exit; walk North 1 block. We have negotiated an attractive conference rate of $189 plus tax (including internet access). (Note that the rate is well below the government per diem of $226.)
